Defensive Driving Courses
Coaching the Emergency Vehicle Operator - Fire
METROGARD’s presentation is a 2-hour interactive presentation developed on the success of well-known defensive driving concepts introduced by the National Safety Council. Training module is geared specifically for fire departments & developed by firefighters and apparatus operators!
The “coaching series” offers experienced operators of city and town fire apparatus an opportunity to enhance their defensive driving skills when responding to and returning from the fire ground.
The main thrust is to offer tips and concepts of defensive driving to remind apparatus operators to use when encountering a potential collision.
The module also assists in introducing new techniques that will assist your operators to “fine-tune” their respective collision-prevention skills.
